Canadian Explorer's mission programs focus on historic, natural, scientific, recreational, and cultural facets of Canada, designed to enlighten, educate and satisfy the curiosity and imaginations of audiences through television and new media.
Canada has a land area of 9.9 million square kilometres (3.8 million square miles), with more than 3,000 miles (4,828 km) separating the eastern and western seaboards. The total length of Canada’s coastline, which includes the mainland coast and also the coasts of offshore islands, amounts to around 202,080 kilometres (125,600 miles). Canada is the 2nd largest county in the world.
Canadian Explorer will produce a five-part nature and human history documentary called The Discovery of Canada.
The story takes you back in time to experience first-hand what the Paleo-Indians, Vikings and European explorers discovered at the dawn of Canadian civilization. We chronicle events that ignited a revolution in trans-oceanic exploration and colonial expansion which ultimately triggered the birth and development of Canada. Take an epic journey into a world of awe inspiring natural wonders, remote wilderness, forbidding coastlines and the most elusive animals on earth.
The series will be an epic scale tribute to our history and evolution spanning 12,000 years of discovery.
Canadian Explorer documentaries will be presented in high-definition (HDTV) and showcased by various television networks in the future... an adventure of a lifetime.
